About
An engineer working with waves.
Yusuf R. Almalki, PhD · Coastal & Marine Energy Engineer

Connecting experiments,
models and coastal data.
My work connects physical experiments, numerical modelling and geospatial analysis. I focus on oscillating water column wave-energy systems, coastal hydrodynamics and marine resource assessment.
I study how waves interact with coastal structures, how we capture their energy, and how experiments and data can inform better engineering decisions.
My engineering background spans coastal and marine energy research, water engineering and civil engineering. These perspectives inform my interest in the interaction between coastal infrastructure and the marine environment.
