Physical modelling
Wave energy within coastal protection
Physical experiments evaluated energy capture, wave reflection and transmission for OWC devices integrated with pile-supported breakwaters. Outputs include a Renewable Energy article and an EWTEC proceedings paper.

Measuring wave-energy performance
Image-based measurements, CFD and uncertainty analysis assessed OWC power estimation and geometry-dependent flow. The work is documented in Applied Ocean Research and Renewable Energy.

About Yusuf
Coastal engineering.
Marine systems.
I hold a PhD in Coastal Engineering & Marine Energy from Imperial College London, following degrees in water engineering at the University of Sheffield and civil engineering at Umm Al-Qura University.
Alongside research, my teaching spans fluid mechanics, wave mechanics and coastal engineering.
