Experimental research and hydrodynamic analysis

Investigation of oscillating water column devices integrated with pile-supported breakwaters.

This research considers device geometry, chamber response and the interaction between an oscillating water column and its surrounding breakwater. The work combines measurements of energy performance with wave reflection and transmission.

Experimental and numerical research

Experimental methods, numerical modelling and uncertainty analysis for oscillating water columns.

This work examines how laboratory measurements and numerical simulations support the assessment of OWC devices. Areas of investigation include power-output estimation, geometry-dependent flow features and the reliability of experimental results.

Coastal data analysis and geospatial assessment

Met-ocean and geospatial analysis for coastal resource and site screening.

The work draws on wave, wind, tide and current datasets, alongside coastline information, to support marine-energy resource assessment. Methods include time-series analysis, interpolation and spatial mapping.
